Police identify man who died from gunshot wounds in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. -- Eugene police have identified the man who died from gunshot wounds in Eugene on Saturday.

Andrew Cervantes, 31, of Eugene was found dead on a porch in the 4000 block of Avalon Street by police, who were responding to the report of a gunshot wound at about 10:42 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing, but police said there is no threat to the community at this time.
