Police investigating assault in downtown Eugene

Officials said officers were called out for an assault and possible robbery on Tuesday afternoon.

EUGENE, Ore. -- Police were called out to 13th and Olive around 1:15 p.m. on Monday for an assault and possible robbery.

Officials said people who knew each other or were acquaintances were involved in that assault.

Police deployed their Crisis Response Unit to help them handle the situation.

One person was sent to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries and at least one person was arrested.
