No foul play suspected after body found along Willamette River

Investigators determined there is no evidence of foul play.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – No evidence of foul play was identified in connection with a body found along the Willamette River last week, Springfield police say.

Police initially investigated the death as a possible homicide, saying they were pursuing all possibilities.

The body was found the morning of June 18 between the bike path and the river near the 600 block of West D Street.

Detectives are no longer investigating the death as a criminal matter.
