Police search for hit-and-run driver after crash

Police are looking for a driver who caused an accident that shut down Clear Lake Road in between Green Hill and Fir Butte.

EUGENE, Ore. --- Police are looking for a driver who caused an accident that shut down Clear Lake Road in between Green Hill and Fir Butte roads.

Tressa Miller with Lane Fire Authority told KEZI 9 News there was a head-on collision around 5:45 on Saturday night.

Officials told KEZI 9 News that there was reportedly one person in one car and three people in another.

Officials said all drivers and passengers initially stayed on scene. However, at some point the driver of the vehicle that likely caused the accident left the scene on foot.

Officials said one juvenile was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Law enforcement shut down the road and brought in a police dog to look for the driver.
