Police searching for missing Springfield man

Larry Womack, 81, has not been seen since Tuesday.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Police are searching for a missing elderly Springfield man who has not been seen since Tuesday.

Police said Larry Womack, 81, left his home in his car and took clothing and medication with him.

His family told police they have not heard from him since, which is unusual.

Police said Womack has been showing early signs of dementia. They said he is unfamiliar with the area and may be lost.

Womack is described as a white man with grey hair and blue eyes. He wears prescription glasses with a darkened left lens because he is blind in that eye.

Officers said Womack was driving a 4-door 2013 silver Chrysler 300 sedan with the Oregon license plate CA52336.

Anyone who sees Womack or his car is asked to call Springfield police at 541-726-3714.
