Poverty simulation coming to North Bend

NORTH BEND, Ore. -- This week, you can experience what it's like to live in poverty for a month.

The event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday inside the Pony Village Mall, suites 151 and 153, in North Bend.

New Community Coalition is hosting the "Rethink Poverty" event. Their goal is to raise awareness and understanding, as well as to inspire change. 

Participants must sign up by 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 25. There is no cost.
