SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Power has been restored in Springfield after a repair by the Bonneville Power Administration.

The main outage in Thurston was due to a lost feeder line from Bonneville Power Administration, the Springfield Utility Board reported.

The large power outage in east Springfield began at about 7 a.m. and crews were sent out to determine what caused the outage. It was repaired later Wednesday morning.

Meredith Clark, spokesperson for SUB, said the utility’s website and phone lines were overwhelmed by customers and updates were being posted on Facebook.
