EUGENE, Ore. – Charges of sexual abuse and rape that had been filed against a Junction City man have been dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

Juan Mejia Jr., 23, pleaded guilty Monday to three counts of fourth-degree assault, two counts of coercion and one count each of burglary and unlawful use of a weapon. He will spend eight years in prison and three years on supervised release. The charges all constituted domestic violence, according to court documents.

In exchange for the guilty plea, a separate indictment was dismissed that had charged him with 24 counts including sexual abuse, rape, sodomy and assault, among other charges.
