ROSEBURG, Ore. – A staff member at Melrose Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19, Roseburg Public Schools said Tuesday.

The employee who tested positive had already been in quarantine due to a potential exposure unrelated to the school, officials said. They will remain in quarantine under guidance from the Douglas Public Health Network.

No students or staff members were in contact with the person, and no additional quarantine measures are required at this time.

The district is working with health officials to protect students and staff.
