ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The YMCA of Douglas County reopened to members Monday after more than two months of being closed due to Gov. Kate Brown’s executive order.
Staff said they’ve shifted all the equipment and reduced class sizes to follow the six-foot rule.

All staff are required to wear a mask inside the building.
Also, all the members are required to sign a one-time safety waiver as they come in.
“The response has been, ‘We are so glad you are open,’” said interim executive director Gary Williams. “There have been no complaints about anything, they’re just happy to see each other.”
Until the club is approved for phase two, Williams said pools, lockers, showers and racquetball will not be available.
