Roseburg man arrested after stolen car recovered

Michael Love-Faust, 37, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, and one of his passengers, Sarah Johnsen, 22, of Roseburg was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Douglas County deputies arrested a Roseburg man in connection with a stolen vehicle early Friday.

Michael Love-Faust, 37, was is facing charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, and one of his passengers, Sarah Johnsen, 22, of Roseburg was is facing charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

A deputy conducting patrols in Winchester shortly after 1 a.m. located a stolen red 1998 Honda Civic on Pioneer Way. The car was reported stolen to the Sutherlin Police Department.

The deputy initiated a traffic stop at the Sunset Tavern and detained Love-Faust and two passengers -- Johnsen and Melissa Orth-Hagen, 45, of Sutherlin. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said 2.8 ounces of meth was found in Johnsen’s purse.

Orth-Hagen was eventually released.

Love-Faust and Johnsen were taken to the Douglas County Jail.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Roseburg Police Department.
