EUGENE, Ore. -- After 30 years of fundraising success, totaling more than $7 million for local charities, the Great Rotary Duck Race is no more.
Diana Bray, a longtime Rotarian and past leader of the Duck Race, said the 2019 event has been "suspended." She said there are no plans to resume the race in 2020.
The United Rotary Clubs of Lane County made the decision last month, Bray said. The reason for the cancelation was "a lack of new leadership."
