Scandinavian Festival booth fire causes thousands of dollars of damage

Officials said the damage was limited to the booth only and not nearby buildings.

JUNCTION CITY, Ore. --- A Scandinavian Festival booth caught on fire Saturday in Junction City causing thousands of dollars worth of damage. 

Junction City Fire and Rescue said they got reports of a small outbuilding on fire near 4th avenue and Greenwood street just after 6:00 p.m. 

When crews arrived they found a Scandinavian Festival booth burning and quickly extinguished it.

Officials said the damage was limited to the booth only and not nearby buildings.

There were no injures and damage is estimated at several thousand dollars.

The cause is under investigation.
