Communities recovering after winter storm

KEZI 9 News is tracking the latest closures and delays.

EUGENE, Ore. -- Many communities in the Willamette Valley are still recovering from the snowstorm, which caused power outages, road closures and hazardous driving conditions.

Roads are gradually reopening after crews worked over the past few days to remove trees and other hazards. Highway 138E is now open, and Highway 58 is scheduled to reopen to all traffic at 6 p.m. Friday, Oregon Department of Transportation officials said.

U.S. 101 is expected to be closed for a few more days, officials said Thursday. Ground movement is setting back repairs to the roadway near Brookings.
