Missing hiker found

While hiking with a group in Idleyld Park, Gene Eubank was separated and reported missing Sunday. He was found Tuesday morning.

UPDATE: Gene Eubank has been found.

Deputies said a group of hikers found Eubank Tuesday morning. He was found cold, wet, and hungry at the Susan Creek Falls trailhead.

He was taken to the Roseburg VA to be evaluated.


DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. – Search and rescue crews are searching for a missing hiker in the Susan Creek Falls area.

Investigators said Gene Girard Eubank, 32, was separated from a group he was hiking with on Sunday. Officials said Susan Creek Falls lies with in Idleyld Park.

Eubank was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a camouflage hat. He was also wearing glasses. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Eubank was still missing Tuesday morning after they put out an alert Monday night.
