Searchers find body in Willamette River

The search started after reports early Monday morning said a man jumped from the bridge.

EUGENE, Ore. – A body has been found in the Willamette River hours after officials responded for a water rescue.

Sgt. Levi McKenny of Lane County Sheriff's Office said search and rescue and marine deputies found the man’s body Monday afternoon downstream from the Owosso Bridge.

At this time, deputies are working to identify the man and contact his family members.

The search started after reports early Monday morning said a man jumped from the bridge.
