Second threatening note found at Harrisburg Elementary

Officials discovered that a 14-year-old is responsible for a threatening note that was found at Harrisburg Middle School. They said a second note was found at the elementary school the next day.

HARRISBURG, Ore. -- Officials said a second note that threatened bombing the school was found at Harrisburg Elementary Tuesday morning.

They said it is connected to the threatening note that was found Monday morning at the nearby middle school.

Deputies responded and determined their wasn't a real threat with the help of Oregon State Police.

Investigators discovered that a 14-year-old student was responsible for Monday's threat and could face disorderly conduct charges.

Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley wants to remind parents to talk with their children about the dangers of these kinds of pranks. Any threat to the community is taken seriously and officials will fully investigate these incidents.
