HARRISBURG, Ore. – A semi-truck rolled over onto its side while driving into Harrisburg early Friday morning.
The truck hit the “Welcome to Harrisburg” sign and took out a section of guard rail.
The crash happened at 6:41 a.m. as the truck was northbound on Highway 99 and had crossed the bridge over the Willamette River. It appears that the driver was going too fast while going around the curve heading into Harrisburg.
The truck driver was taken to Riverbend Hospital.
Traffic was moving through the area slowly after the crash. The northbound lane was closed, but traffic was getting through on the center turn lane.
The truck is expected to be moved later Friday.
