Shed bursts into flames, threatens homes in Springfield

Crews say it threatened several homes in Springfield.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- An investigation is underway after a shed burst into flames on Monday morning.

The fire broke out at 3:12 a.m. in a shed behind a home on the 1000 block of First Place in Springfield.

According to the Eugene Springfield Fire Department, someone might have been living in the shed, but no one was in it at the time of the fire.

The shed is a total loss and the fire did threaten several houses before it was contained. The cause is unknown.
