SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- A woman, 69-year-old Debra Marie Keffer, has been taken into custody and charged with unlawful use of a weapon after officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to multiple shots fired calls.
Around 9:30 p.m. Friday night, SPD went to 1209 E St. to check out the scene and observed a subject moving between a vehicle and the house with what appeared to be a shotgun.
Officers surrounded the house and blocked adjacent streets for safety. Phone contact was made with Keffer who was cooperative with police.
She was taken into custody without incident. The shotgun and several other firearms were seized from within the residence. No one was injured during the incident.
Keffer indicated she was being harassed by some kids and wanted to send them a message. Officers were unable to locate the kids described by Keffer. She was lodged at the Lane County Jail.
