EUGENE, Ore. -- Some Eugene schools will be offering free meals for students on May 8, despite classes being canceled due to the planned teacher walkout.

Kerry Delf with Eugene School District 4J said the meals will be available at selected sites in the district and will be similar to their summer meal programs. All students can drop in for breakfast and lunch and don’t need to be enrolled at the school to eat.
