Springfield home damaged in early morning fire

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Residents living on Camp Creek Road woke up to flames in their home early Thursday morning. 

The fire started around 1 a.m. When crews from Mckenzie Fire & Rescue responded, they said they saw part of the home engulfed in flames. 

Officials said the residents who were home at the time heard the fire and were able to get out of the home safely. There were no reported injuries. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. 

Officials said there is significant damage to the home, and it is likely a complete loss. The residents are staying with friends who live in the area.
