Springfield library holds supply drive to help homeless

So far, 367 supplies have been gathered.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – If you would like to help the homeless community in our area, Springfield Public Library’s Give Light supply drive is still going on.

The drive, which runs through March 1, raises supplies for people who are unhoused or experiencing housing insecurity.

So far, 367 supplies have been gathered as part of the effort. They are accepting new and unused warm socks, hats, gloves and hand and foot warmers.

The library is partnering with Carry It Forward as well as Springfield businesses. You can donate to the drive at any of the following locations:

  • Any Springfield Public Library Book Drop
  • Springfield Public Library
  • Drive-up book drop is off A Street between 5th and 6th streets
  • Splash! at Lively Park
  • Parking lot, 6100 Thurston Road
  • Any Springfield Public Library staff member during curbside pickup
  • Also at these participating businesses:
