SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A man was taken into custody Monday night after reports that someone fired a gun during a dispute with another man.
Officers responded to 1415 L Street just after 5:30 p.m.
Everyone involved in the dispute retreated into the home before officers arrived, police said. This prompted police to block off nearby streets and use a loud speaker to reach the people inside the home.
When three people came out of the home, police said they found out that the man they wanted -- Christopher Quesenberry, 30, of Springfield -- had left the area.
Before leaving the home, police were able seize the semi-automatic handgun that had been used during the dispute.
Then at around 9:49 p.m., police returned to the home on L Street and arrested Quesenberry. He was taken to the Lane County Jail. He faces charges of unlawful use of a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.
