EUGENE, Ore. – Police stopped a man accused of transporting drugs on Tuesday and identified his passenger as a woman wanted on multiple warrants.
Eugene police stopped Tanner Barcala, 23, of Springfield at about 5 p.m. at 5th Avenue and Adams Street. He was driving a Ford mustang.
Springfield’s police dog unit responded to assist with the investigation and helped locate large amounts of illegal drugs in the car, police said.
The passenger was Megan Keller, 28, of Eugene. Police said she is wanted on three warrants for her arrest.
Keller was taken to the hospital by medics and cited for tampering with physical evidence.
Barcala was arrested and taken to the Lane County Jail. He faces felony charges for unlawful possession of heroin and cocaine.
