SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A Springfield resident died in a crash near Sisters Sunday morning.
Oregon State Police said troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 241. It happened at about 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Crossroads Road, about two miles west of Sisters.
Investigators said Liciano Ramirez-Guillen, 57, was driving a Chevrolet pickup eastbound when it went off the road and rolled, causing fatal injuries.
Two passengers were transported to St. Charles in Bend. A 13-year-old was taken by life flight with serious injuries and a 15-year-old was taken by ambulance.
The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Sisters Camp Sherman Fire Department and Oregon Department of Transportation assisted.
