SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Two Springfield High School students are accused of taking marijuana-laced brownies to school.
Police said a school resource officer spotted two 16-year-old sophomore boys walking down the main hallway of the school on Thursday after lunch, when students were supposed to be in class.

They said the students looked like they were under the influence of drugs.
Police said the officer found a pound of marijuana brownies made with marijuana butter inside one of the student’s backpacks.
Officers said the boys were planning to pass them out on Friday for 4/20, which has become a day to celebrate marijuana.
One of the boys is facing a charge of possession of a marijuana concentrate by a minor, and the other is facing possession by consumption.
A 13-year-old student at Thurston Middle School in Springfield is also facing charges after police said she brought marijuana-laced candy to school and shared it with other students earlier this week. One student ended up in the hospital.
