Standoff with naked man ends after 13 hours

Eugene police say the man has been disrupting traffic since 9:30 Monday night.

EUGENE, Ore. -- An hours-long standoff is over in Eugene, police said.

A naked man on top of a railroad sign had been disrupting traffic and assaulting people with rocks for 13 hours, they said.

The incident began around 9:30 p.m. on Monday in the 200 block of Washington Street, police said.

The man allegedly exposed himself to bystanders and began throwing rocks at them, hitting one man in the head.

Police said the standoff ended at about 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
