In addition, a Red Advisory is in place until 4 p.m. on Thursday for Oakridge. This is due to poor air quality. LRAPA has banned visible some from chimneys during this time. They advise keeping dampers open and fires small with very dry wood. Here is the current air quality as of 9 a.m. Thursday.
High pressure will remain overhead into the weekend with dry, offshore flow persisting over the region. This will keep the fire risk up into the weekend. Currently, moderate danger is in place for parts of Lane, Benton and Douglas counties.
Onshore flow will return on Sunday, bringing more seasonable overnight temperatures. Overall, sunshine and dry conditions look to continue into the middle of next week.
