EUGENE, Ore. -- After some rain earlier this morning across the area, skies have cleared north of Eugene. A few areas of patchy fog earlier have also cleared from across the Umpqua Basin.

A layer of mid-level clouds will persist south of Eugene for much of the day with more sunshine to the north near Corvallis.

Rain arrives along the coast late this evening and spreads inland overnight.
Showers will last for much of the day Saturday, and another round of steady rain arrives by Sunday morning.
Temperatures will stay in the 50s throughout the next several days with snow mainly above the mountain passes until next Monday.
