EUGENE, Ore. – Feedback is being sought on a road widening study being conducted on Highway 126 between Eugene and Veneta.
Between now and Friday, residents are invited to visit an online open house to offer feedback on the study.
The seven-mile stretch being studied is now a two-lane road with narrow shoulders and no bicycle lanes or sidewalks. Officials are looking at recommendations to improve the safety and mobility of the highway and how to balance them with potential community benefits.
Options to improve the safety and mobility on this stretch of highway are being explored by the Oregon Department of Transportation as part of a National Environmental Policy Act study.
Anyone interested is asked to spread the word about the study to anyone who would be interested in learning about the project.
