EUGENE, Ore. – A man was arrested in Eugene after a resident called 911 to report a break-in overnight Monday.

Police responded to the 1600 block of Hilyard Street at about 1 a.m. The woman said she heard someone trying to kick down her basement door. Everyone evacuated the home as police arrived.
