EUGENE, Ore. -- A man was arrested after a five-day search, accused of shooting a gun outside a Eugene bar.
Corey Villa, 32, was found hiding under a car on Friday night, police say. Officers had been searching for Villa since the morning of Sept. 20.
The incident began at Embers bar and grill, 1811 Hwy. 99, around 1 a.m. last Sunday. Police claim Villa got into an argument and fired two shots, one into the ground and one into a parked car. Nobody was injured, and Villa was not located that morning.
Police caught up with Villa on Friday near Hwy. 99 and Fairfield Avenue. They attempted to stop his vehicle, but Villa allegedly drove off. He was later spotted near the Value Inn on Hwy. 99. Villa allegedly fled again, but was tracked by a police dog later that night.
Villa has not been formally charged in court.
