Three people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash happened at 5:50 p.m., when an eastbound Dodge Durango swerved to avoid a pedestrian on the shoulder and lost control of the vehicle. The Dodge slid into the path of a westbound Subaru Impreza and collided with the Subaru’s front end.
