Tidewater man dies in fatal Highway 34 crash

The preliminary investigation found that the driver of the car was 26-year-old Kyle Herbison of Tidewater.

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ore. – Oregon State Police responded to a fatal crash on Highway 34 near milepost 11 Monday.

One lane of the highway was closed for five hours while the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Oregon State Police and the Oregon Department of Transportation investigated.

The preliminary investigation found that the driver of the car was 26-year-old Kyle Herbison of Tidewater.

According to Oregon State Police, Herbison sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on scene.

Investigators believe the silver Honda Accord was traveling westbound when it crossed the eastbound lanes, leaving the road and rolling onto its side.
