EUGENE, Ore. – The traffic signal put up as part of the Delta/Beltline interchange project will soon go live.
When the signal turns on Thursday night, the new lane will open, and drivers headed through the area on Friday should be ready.
Officials said the new intersection is for all Delta Highway travelers, who will stop to allow Beltline traffic to turn north. It will also stop southbound Delta drivers when a pedestrian is crossing.
The existing ramp from eastbound Beltline to northbound Delta will be closed to be removed.
Looking to the future, the new northbound Delta Highway to westbound Beltline Highway ramp is expected to be completed in August.
