LANE COUNTY, Ore. – Mt. Pisgah visitors should expect trail closures this week.

The main summit trail at Howard Buford Recreation Area is under repair and there will be major improvements to Trail 1.

The trail was damaged by heavy runoff from the snowstorm and April flooding earlier this year.

The repairs will smooth the trail and increase the number of “rolling dips” that help direct runoff.

The West Trailhead, Trail 1, and multiple feeder trails will be closed Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Alternate routes from the North and East trailheads can be used to reach the summit during the closure.
