EUGENE, Ore. -- The Tuition and Fee Advisory Board (TFAB) is recommending the University of Oregon raise the price of tuition.

The recommendations include an increase in tuition of $6 per credit or $270 per year for in-state undergraduate students. Out-of-state undergraduate students would see tuition go up by $18 per credit or $810 annually.

This equates to a 2.84 percent increase in undergraduate tuition for in-state students and a 2.49 percent increase for out-of-state students for the 2018-19 school year.

The TFAB wants to add a $7 increase to the student health center service fee to help expand health and counseling services for students.

At 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 15th a student forum was held at the Alumni Lounge in Gerlinger Hall to review the TFAB's proposal and take input.
