Two Albany residents killed in two-car crash

A crash in Polk county left two Albany residents dead Sunday evening, according to Oregon State Police.

POLK COUNTY, Ore.-- A crash in Polk county left two Albany residents dead Sunday evening, according to Oregon State Police.

Officials said Albany resident Robert Leach, 73, and his passenger, Linda Leach, 75, were driving a pickup truck westbound on Highway 22 near milepost 8 at 5:10 p.m. The truck crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with a pickup truck driven by 42-year-old Jeffrey Sittisuphachoke, 42, of Independence, OSP said.

Robert and Linda Leach were killed in the crash. Sittisuphachoke was taken to a hospital in Salem.
