EUGENE, Ore. – Two people are in jail after police say they were found in a stolen U-Haul outside Target on West 11th Avenue.

Police spotted the vehicle at about 6 p.m. on Friday.

A 26-foot box truck had been reported stolen from the U-Haul parking lot at 2150 West 7th Avenue a few days earlier.

Police said Jessica Miles, 42, was in the driver’s seat and Macjoseph McKinley, 24, was in the passenger’s seat.

The U-Haul was filled with the suspects’ property, police said. Needles were found inside, they added.

Miles was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, and McKinley was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and was arrested on a warrant.
