LANE COUNTY, Ore. -- A woman and her partner who allegedly stole her 7-year-old daughter from California before taking her to the Blue River area are due back in Lane County Court Tuesday awaiting extradition.

Amina Clark allegedly took her biological daughter from Red Bluff with her partner Kathy Knupp. According to court documents, the Red Bluff Police Department alerted the Lane County Sheriff's Office about the abduction on Oct. 25. They were believed to be between Springfield and Rainbow.

With the help of a caller who left a tip, deputies located the three the next day on the 55000 block of McKenzie River Drive in Blue River. Officials said the girl was returned.

According to the documents, Clark and Knupp remained in the Blue River area until the Red Bluff Police Department put out a warrant for the two on Dec. 14. They were then arrested as fugitives and have been in Lane County Jail awaiting extradition.

Tuesday's hearing is the last day the State of California has to take custody of Clark and Knupp, who are both facing charges of child stealing.
