SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Two men were arrested Monday morning in connection with a stolen car, according to the Springfield Police Department.

Officials said Jessie Poller, 28, and Israel Irvine, 34, were pulled over during a routine traffic stop due to missing license plates at the intersection of 6th Street and Centennial Boulevard at about 5:50 a.m. Monday morning.

Irvine allegedly got up and started walking away during the traffic stop, claiming he had to leave. Police said officers arrested Poller once they recognized the car as stolen. Officials found Irvine about five blocks away and arrested him without incident.

The car was reported stolen along with at least five other cars on Nov. 15 from a Ron Tonkin Toyota car dealership in Portland.

Irvine had a warrant out for his arrest after violating probation in Wyoming.

Irvine and Poller's charges are unknown at this time.
