4J reaches two million served meals since pandemic began

The boxes will continue to be available this summer, as well as at school next year.

EUGENE, Ore. -- A major milestone was reached within the Eugene School District 4J, as 2 million free youth meals have been served since the pandemic began.

The millionth free meal was served the day before Thanksgiving -- with another one million in the following six months.

Free food boxes for youth can be picked up every Wednesday through June 30th from 12:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. at eight different schools: Arts & Technology Academy, Cal Young Middle School, Howard Elementary School, Kennedy Middle School, Madison Middle School, Monroe Middle School, Roosevelt Middle School and Spencer Butte Middle School.

Families can pick up a box at any location -- regardless of where you live.

The boxes will continue to be available this summer, as well as at school next year.
