ALBANY, Ore. -- A driver is dead after a crash three miles west of Albany on Highway 20 on Thursday.
It happened at milepost 7. Benton County deputies arrived to the head-on collision just before 6 a.m.
Keith Lee, 35, of Independence was reportedly driving a 1997 Acura Integra eastbound on the highway when for unknown reasons he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.
The vehicle hit a 2020 Ford F350 which was headed west. The Ford's driver was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Lee was pronounced dead at the scene.
Highway 20 was closed in both directions for three and a half hours.
