EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon Board of Trustees voted Tuesday to approve an increase in tuition for both incoming undergraduate students and some graduate students.
The board approved a plan developed by staff and recommended by University President Michael Schill that includes a tuition increase of 4.5% for in-state residents and 3% for non-residents who begin in Fall 2021.
The increase applies only to new students, thanks to a tuition guarantee approved by the UO board in May 2020.
Students who were enrolled before the tuition guarantee program was approved will see a 3% tuition increase each year.
Tuition for graduate programs are slated to rise between zero and 5% depending on the school and the program.
