EUGENE, Ore. -- As University of Oregon students move in to their dorms on campus, officials said there have been many new COVID-19 cases tied to the university.

According to the daily case data on the UO website, 15 students were found to be positive in Eugene on Tuesday alone.

On Monday, six students were found to be positive. One of the students was tested through screening of residence hall students prior to move in.

This is only part of the ongoing spike in daily case counts for Lane County.
