U.S. Bank on West 18th robbed for 2nd time this summer

Police are searching for the suspect in Sunday's robbery.

EUGENE, Ore. -- The U.S. Bank on West 18th Avenue has been robbed for the second time this summer.

Eugene police said the suspect entered the bank located inside Albertsons on Sunday, took cash and ran from the scene across West 18th Avenue and through Westmoreland Park.

Police said the suspect is described as a white male in his 40s or 50s, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds.

They said he has reddish blonde hair and was last seen wearing orange sunglasses, a white and orange hat, gray T-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 541-682-5111.

The West 18th location was previously robbed in July. Police said William Newman, 55, was arrested for that crime.
