Valley River Inn announces mass layoff

The company believes the layoffs are temporary.

EUGENE, Ore. – More than 100 employees at the Valley River Inn have been laid off as a result of coronavirus, company officials announced Monday.

The layoffs will be complete by April 9. They are expected to be temporary.

In total, 115 employees are affected.

Officials say it’s “a result of the unforeseeable, dramatic downturn in business and occupancy caused by the coronavirus natural disaster.”
