SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Dramatic new video shows the exact moment when three men heroically dragged a disabled man from his burning home.

The video was taken by a surveillance camera on Monday morning in the 300 block of 37th Street in Springfield. John McIver is seen being pulled out of the house as the fire rages. Shortly after being brough to the grass, an explosion happens.

"You can go from cover to cover in the dictionary and you can’t find enough words to thank them for what they did," McIver said. "Man they did a tremendous job."

Julie Massengill is McIver's fiance and she said her main concern was to get him out of the house as soon as she saw flames. She said she is grateful for the three men that helped out.

"Thank you very much, they are a god send and I do appreciate everything they helped us with," Massengill said.
