LEBANON, Ore. -- A man wanted on multiple warrants was arrested after a pursuit in Lebanon Wednesday afternoon.

Christopher Gray, 34, was taken to the Linn County Jail.

Police said a motorcycle officer stopped Gray at McKinney Lane and Russell Drive at about 3:30 p.m. A female passenger got out of the green 1992 Honda Accord and ran from the scene.

Gray gave a false name and drove off as additional officers arrived on scene, police said. The man left his vehicle at McKinney Lane, which is a dead-end street, and ran into a nearby wooded area. Officers found Gray hiding in bushes and took him into custody.

Investigators said the vehicle had switched plates and was reported stolen to the Albany Police Department. Additional plates not belonging to the vehicle were found in a search, police said.

Gray was taken into custody on outstanding warrants, and he faces charges of attempt to elude in a vehicle and on foot, unlawful use of a vehicle, providing false information to police, first-degree criminal trespass and methamphetamine possession.
